Individuals at Fishers UMC have the opportunity to experience worship, study, fellowship, and service in many ways. Our mission is to assist all people in developing and strengthening their relationship with Jesus Christ. For those who feel led to make a deeper level of commitment to Fishers United Methodist Church we offer the opportunity to attend the Membership Class.
membership classClass begins with a fellowship lunch at 12:15pm followed by four sessions focused upon the elements of the membership vows (Presence, Prayer, Gifts, Service and Witness). We cover topics such as what it means to be a Christian disciple, Church and United Methodist history and beliefs, discovering your spiritual gifts, and how to become a vital part of the Fishers UMC family. The class is open to non-members seeking membership and those wishing to transfer their membership from another church. Childcare is available.
reception into membershipYou will be received into membership during a worship service following your completion of the Membership Class. At this time you will publicly declare your faith in Jesus Christ, your desire to become a member of Fishers United Methodist Church, and be welcomed by the congregation.
