The Come-To-Me Food Pantry is one of our biggest outreach projects, please see our Food Pantry page for all the details.

Fishers UMC partners with Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis to provide emergency shelter, meals, and assistance to homeless families with children.  We house guests at the church for 1 week sessions several times a year. Volunteers are needed to prepare meals, serve as overnight hosts, and provide evening activities for children.  For more information on this important ministry, please contact Peggy and Mike Cooke at 776-2320, Donna and Ed Englehart at 578-2280, or Laurie and Neal Ogle at 776-8723.  To learn more about Family Promise of Greater Indianapolis, visit their site.

We take God’s call to be stewards of all Creation seriously at Fishers UMC.  One way you can help care for the environment and witness to this commitment is by recycling.  Our Paper Recycling Dumpster is located in the South parking lot next to fellowship hall.  Please bring your Sunday bulletins, newspapers, magazines, junk mail, and catalogs to be recycled and the proceeds will help support living wages for coffee farmers worldwide.  For more information contact the Church Office.

We partner with the United Methodist Committee on Relief  (UMCOR) and Equal Exchange to serve Fair Trade coffee at all church events.  By serving Fair Trade coffee we help to support justice for small coffee farmers around the world who usually make very little profit despite the high prices coffee retailers usually receive from coffee sales.  By combining this effort with our paper recycling project (to offset the increased cost of serving Fair Trade coffee), we make good use of all of our resources, and provide a strong social witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

donation drives

Throughout the year, Fishers UMC hosts several drives to collect items such as Diapers, Clothing, School Supplies and much more!  These drives go to several agencies throughout Hamilton & Marion County.  Please check out the bulletin, newsletter, weekly email, and social media for information about these drives.
