    Ministry Teamwork

    Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:19-22(NIV)

19 Greet Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus. 20 Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus. 21 Do your best to get here before winter. Eubulus greets you, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia and all the brothers and sisters.

22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you all.

    Devotional

    By: Dave Rizk

A coworker once told me about a tradition in her family. Every Christmas morning, she and her children visit a nearby nursing home to spend time with the elderly, bringing joy to people who might otherwise be alone. Hearing this made me stop and think. Am I really teaching my children what God wants from us? Am I showing them, not just telling them, how to live as Christians? I realized I have a responsibility not only to live out my faith, but also to help at least one other person follow Christ, so that His truth is passed on.

Paul’s life shows us that being a Christian is not something we do by ourselves or keep to ourselves. He had partners like Priscilla and Aquila, encouragers like Onesiphorus, and friends like Trophimus. Paul spent his life helping others grow in faith. Timothy, for example, continued Paul’s ministry. As Paul’s life was ending, he saw success in being faithful and in the leaders he helped grow to continue Christ’s work.

We are called not just to believe, but to help others by showing Christ’s example every day and sharing the truth with love. When we are faithful, the message of Jesus reaches beyond our own lives.

A Call to Action: Try to find one person this week, maybe your child, a friend, or a coworker. Show them, through what you say and do, what it means to follow Christ. Invite them to join you in something that shows your faith, like serving together or talking about Scripture.
