Director of CHILDREN'S Ministry

Fishers UMC is looking for a Director of Children’s Ministry which would lead the children’s ministry from birth to fourth grade along with their families for our church and community.  They would work with our pastors and other team members to reach children for the Lord by helping them to know Jesus Christ through scripture, music, prayer, missions, fellowship, mentorship, and personal testimony with other Christians.

Duties would include developing and implementing the program, helping maintain a safe and healthy environment, and working with other staff and leaders to meet the mission of FUMC.  Another important duty is to recruit, equip, motivate, supervise and shepherd children’s ministry team teachers, leaders, helpers, and other children’s ministry volunteers for all activities.

An ideal candidate would preferably have a bachelor’s degree in children’s ministry, development or education.  A minimum of five years of experience in a church-related setting is preferred.

This position is a full-time salaried position.  Salary would be based on prior experience.

Director of Worship Ministry

Fishers UMC is looking for a Director of Worship Ministry which would develop and lead the worship ministries for Sunday services as well other special services.  This would include oversight of both traditional and contemporary services including the music and other worship elements.
 
This position would participate in the creative planning of the Sunday and special services with the pastors and other team members.  It would involve responsibility and supervision of A/V technical team leader, worship volunteer coordinator overseeing ushers, greeters, etc. and other part-time specialists involved in worship.
 
Responsibilities include leading, or recruiting and developing leaders to coordinate and direct, traditional choir, contemporary worship team, musical teams, ensembles, bell choir, orchestra, and other worship and music ministries such as musicals, cantatas, children’s and youth choirs and sanctuary preparation (A/V, lighting, banners, set design, etc.).  Additionally, the recruitment, development and supervision of other worship and volunteer leaders would be expected.
 
An ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in music or theology.  A minimum of five years of experience in a church setting is preferred.
 
This position is full-time.  Salary would be negotiable based on prior experience.
